In 1947, his research led to Schultz Plant food, which was designed to feed plants the same way nature does, delivering small amounts of nutrients to the roots and leaves with each watering. Its easy-to-use, formula quickly became a favorite with home gardeners and professional growers. In 1960, Mr. Schultz introduced the no-clogging hose-end feeder.
